I would avoid suspecting fraught with any ethnicity. Ever.

Basically all large corporations are invested in. Investors do that for returns. Higher returns usually mean lesser quality ingredients, and worse, up to criminal working conditions - poverty on the other side of personal gains. Nowadays there are billionaires, who partially all are, because of heavy investing, in all parts of the world. Also, such as unsuspected ethnicities as Africans and Indians. Most of course in the US, with a mixture of all ethnicities.

Even many middle class people wrongly think regular investments are ethically not problematic. But they sure mostly are, by transferring wealth from the poor - and exactly the middle class not scrupleless investing too, for a vast part to ever more and richer billionaires (see the exponential growth during the last 20 years only on the wikipedia site: Worlds Billionaires)

Avoid all huge corporations, don't participate in this manslaughter for easy money, by investing in, and buying from, ethically behaving small businesses only. Otherwise, you become the monster you thought to fight.

I'm concerned that investment billions come from each of us. Not everyone is concerned about the Abrahamic faiths at all.

What do you think? I don't know enough about these things. Do know NOW supplements generally are kosher, like many well-known packaged products, and I consider that a good thing, not a negative, indicative of additional manufacturing scrutiny. After all, it's meant to inform Jewish people that the products are OK for their consumption.

"Avoid all huge corporations."

Isn't most ascorbic acid imported from giant Chinese manufacturing plants? I feel better seeing a kosher label on a bottle to assure me the product is deemed suitable for an especially influential and powerful network of people. NOW brand ascorbic acid, for example.

Besides that, huge corps generally are able to provide much better value for the consumer.
